What Indicates a Good Source
A good
source is one that focuses mainly or partly on the topic you
are exploring, one containing writing that agrees with the
point you are trying to prove, and one that would be beneficial
to refer to in your paper.
Don't
list a source in your works cited page unless you refer to
it in your paper (either directly or indirectly); don't use
a quote from a source unless it genuinely helps prove your
thesis. You might have a source requirement to fulfill, but
professors can tell if your works cited page consists of sources
that are listed just to meet that requirement.
