Consonant Epenthesis
A consonant, often a glottal stop, is inserted pre-vocalically. This occurs with
languages that do not allow syllables to begin with a vowel sound. A good example
of this is found in Korean 1, where the speaker inserts a glottal stop before
almost every word starting with a vowel sound.
