Consonant voicing is the voicing of normally unvoiced consonants. Arabic speakers regularly turn [p] into [b]. This is due to the fact that Arabic does not have the phoneme [p] but does have its voiced counterpart [b]. Listen to Arabic 1 for an example of this process.
