OvThe coopting of Hip-hop culture has been subtle theme throughout the course. The lecture and paper by Jared Ball speaks to this. I will also offer you a paper I wrote on the subject as reference material.

Please write a 2-3 page critical response on this topic. Questions which you may want to answer include:
1. How did cultural imperialism affect bombing and b-boying?
2. Was the silencing of bombing and b-boying a coordinated effort?
3. What was the fate of b-boys and writers who lost their livelihoods after commercialization?
