    Adoption & foster parenting

    Adoption mega site with lots of information and resources for individuals interested in adopting children.
    This nonprofit organization is committed to improving the quality of information about adoption. Among the many features on the site are: a searchable database of 1,000+ adoption research abstracts, federal legislation updates, papers on various adoption topics, and results from the Institute's national survey on adoption attitudes.
    "The National Adoption Center is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to expand adoption opportunities throughout the United States for children with special needs and those from minority cultures." A good resource site on adoption.

    Child abuse

    Good site with information and fact sheets on child abuse.
    This center is supported by the Children's Bureau. Has publications available online and good links on child abuse and neglect.
    Nancy Faulkner's personal site. Very comprehensive information on child sexual abuse and prevention.
    Good statistics and resources on child abduction and the like.
    Another professional site with information and links on child abuse.
    Association fighting child abuse and violence and promoting child welfare. Has good links to other sites regarding abuse, domestic violence, poverty, and advocacy groups.

Comprehensive site with information and links on 1) Relationships, including dating, marriage, and breaking up, 2) Parenting, from pregnancy & dealing with infertility to parenting teenagers, 3) Grandparents and brother/sister relationships, 4) Family problems, including grieving, alcohol & drug use, and divorce, and 5) Intimate violence.
