The Blog:

Each student should create an account with Motime and sign up for the class blog—prof-writ. Prior to each class that involves readings, you should post a reading response to the blog. You should also regularly post questions, concerns, comments on someone else's post, or a claim/observation of your own. The blog will also be important as a means to share research ideas, articles, and web sites of interest. (See assignments for more.)

Subscribe:

To subscribe, follow these directions. You will:

  1. Create an account with Motime.
  2. Set up a user name and password.
  3. Give me your user name (in class or over email).
  4. I will invite you to join the prof-writ blog.
  5. To post go to http://www.motime.com and log in.

Students will start this process during the first class meeting, but may need to finish at home. If there is any problem, we can work on setting it up during the second class period.

GMU email accounts:

Each student should also activate his or her GMU email account. All school business will be sent to your GMU email account. If you haven't activated your GMU account see the info/links below. At the very least you should activate it and forward you mail to an email account you regularly use. If I need to email you individually, I'll use your GMU email. If you have a question about your PIN number, see ITU support.
