Not surprisingly, there are not many web sites that focus on the
collapse of communism and its implications. The best of them are
housed at universities and research institutes that focus on the
former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe.
The Open Market Research
Institute has both translations of the press and analytical
reports on most current and former communist countries. OMRI has lost much its funding and this site is often down these days.

good bit of attention to Russia and Eastern Europe
There are still a surprising number of pro- and anti-communist
sites which focus on Marxist theory and its alleged failings
respectively. Among the best and least biased are:

and the Australian National
University both have many of Marx and Engels' works on line along
with links to other pro-marxist sites.

Museum
of Communism is a site highly critical of Marxism maintained by a
young economist at George Mason University
