The ERIC Clearinghouse on Disabilities and Gifted Education website was discontinued in 2004.

CLAS Publications - Technical Reports
These technical reports from the Early Childhood Research Institute for Culturally & Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) "examine the extent to which the effective practices, identified by DEC [Division for Early Childhood] and NAEYC [National Association for the Education of Young Children], are represented in the delivery of early intervention services to families and young children (from birth to age 5) who come from diverse cultural and linguistic groups." Council for Exceptional Children
This site includes publications and products available from the CEC with links to articles from some of these journals and publications. (reviewed 5/28/03)
CEC Information Center on Disabilities and Gifted Education
Provides information including research and on-line links to other resources on disabilities education, gifted education, and education for dual exceptionalities (gifted and learning disabled students). (reviewed 11/29/04)
Division TEACCH - Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication handicapped CHildren
This organization at the University of North Carolina conducts research on autism. It features an index of other sites providing information and services to persons with cognitive and other disabilities. (reviewed 5/28/03)
