Learning
Strategies
Create a notebook
Create
a notebook for your readings and assignments. The first thing you
should put in your notebook is your statement of learning goals.
Set your learning goals
Look at the course syllabus,
reading list, and assignment list. Browse the Teaching Unit lectures.
Now think about what you would like to learn in this course. Write
down three to five learning goals for yourself. Refer back to these
goals as you proceed through the course and make adjustments in
your learning strategies and management plan to achieve your goals.
Develop a course time management plan
After you have set you
learning goals, try to determine how long it will take you to accomplish
the activities in each of the Teaching Units. Devise a time management
plan to accomplish your goals. We recommend 4 weeks per Teaching
Unit.
