Stat 656 Announcements
(June 17, 2008) The "four essential parts" of output referred to
in the demo homework are:
1) The fitted equation. (You place the t-value and p-value from the output underneath
the estimated coefficient.)
2) The ANOVA table for the regression.
3) The R-squared for the regression.
4) Two residual plots, namely the plot of the studentized residuals vs. the
fitted values (THE "residual plot") and the plot of the studentized
residuals vs the normal scores (the "normal plot"). However, you must
include the codefit (or pegrpcf as appropriate) results as part of the description
of the residual plot and the boxcox results as part of the description of the
normal plot. Omitting these parts will lead to point deductions on tests!
