"Spectroscopy of Massive Galaxies to z=2 with the Gemini Deep Deep Survey"

TALK ABSTRACT:
--------------
I will report on results from the Gemini Deep Deep Survey of
galaxies in the former redshift desert (1<z<2), in particular:
the evolution in the space density of massive galaxies, the discovery
of elliptical/bulge-dominated galaxies with old stellar populations
to redshift z=2, and the "downsizing" evolution of galaxy properties
such as star-formation rate.
