  • The GMU web site says that we are open for business.  The Scientific Database Symposium will proceed as scheduled.  See you at 8:30 for setup and 9:00am for the first talk.

  • The snow has raised questions as to the Research Symposium tomorrow.  At this time, we plan to have the Symposium as scheduled.

  • January 26 Full and industrial papers as well as panels, tutorials, demos due.

  • March 29  Notification About acceptance

  • April 16 Camera Ready due

  • Today we will review the Homework Assignments 2 and 3.
  • Please read the material in the Schedule Page for this class, in particular the Shoshani, Gray and Pedersen papers and slides.
  • We will also discuss the Research Symposium logistics.
  • Students will fill out the Faculty Evaluation Forms.

    The readings  may be found on te Schedule Page.  We will review the papers on Metacat and the Earth Science Workbench.
