The following reading list includes both general histories of American
Higher Education and specific resources for the investigation of individual
topics. They should help you
-
gain a background knowledge of your topic
-
decide on the key aspects of each subject you need to cover
in your presentation.
You will be able to find those materials marked "On Reserve" at the front
desk on the ground floor of the Johnson Center Library.
We do expect you to utilize these resources in your projects (we shall
be looking for references to ideas and arguments drawn from these books,
for example, in the presentations). But we also expect you to search for
additional scholarly or official sources on your own, and use them in your
research and presentations.
Good Luck! We are looking forward to hearing your presentations.
