Introduction In part one of this workshop, we'll review the skills you learned in Units I & II, and introduce you to some basic principles of layout. In part two, we'll introduce you to some elementary theories of hypertext writing and navigation. In part three, we'll ask you to apply the concepts you have reviewed and learned to a new assignment. For this assignment, you will turn your version of integrative essay #2 into a hypertext and then post it to your web page. Before you begin part three of the workshop, you should have created your Unit III web page, and created a link to it from the front page of your NCC web site. Faculty are not going to search all over your web site to find the assignment from today's workshop. It is your responsibility to make sure that all the requisite links are in place. We are, as usual, very sympathetic to the many idiosyncrasies of web site creation and management, especially for those of you who are creating a web site for the first time. But you have all (with very few exceptions) now had more than two weeks to create your Unit III web page and link it to your main NCC page. We do expect that the majority of the cohort will be ready for this workshop. <part one> <part two> <part three> |
