New Century College maintains two
listservs (one for freshmen and one for all students)
for use by faculty and students to support course work and disseminate
information. All New Century College students are required to join
the appropriate list.
You must have an activated MEMO
E_MAIL account to use the GMU e-mail system and receive important NCC and
GMU announcements.
To activate your gmu account or
reset your password, go to: https://chimera.gmu.edu/e-mail/prod/index.html
After you activate your account,
then you can send and receive messages on the listserv (a group of people
who receive and send messages to and from the same address).
Instructions on how to subscribe
to the list:
1. Use your MASON e-mail account
to compose a message.
2. In the "To:" space, type
listserv@listserv.gmu.edu
3. Leave the "Subject" heading blank.
4. Under the "Message Text", send
the four-word email message:
subscribe nclc-l firstname lastname
[Note: The "l" is the letter
"l," not the number 1.]
For example: subscribe nclc-l Jane
Doe [Substitute "Jane Doe" with your name and don't forget the space between
nclc-l and your name.]
5. Delete any signature information
you included on your email.
6. Send the message. (Once you have
subscribed, you will begin to receive messages sent out to the list. You
will receive an email message that you successfully subscribed.)
To send
a message to everyone on the list to which
you have subscribed, type at the "To:" nclc-l@listserv.gmu.edu
[*Freshmen
belong to a different list, designated by the year of entry as a freshman.
For ex: NCLC2003 - for Freshman who entered in 2003. To subscribe to this
list type: subscribe NCLC2003 firstname lastname]
IMPORTANT: When you send
a message to a listserv the message goes to everyone on the list. If your
message is private, use your personal e-mail account instead of the NCLC
list. |
