Research and Evaluate Three (3) Digital "Texts"
Learning goals:

understand the elements that define a particular type of digital "text."

develop insights to understand and evaluate the elements related to audience
and purpose

effectively compose a comparison/contrast of how the elements suit the
audience and purpose

articulate how your learning experiences in this assignment relates to
the New Century College
Competencies (http://www.ncc.gmu.edu/competency.htm).
There are many forms of digital information, such as e-business site, ezines,
online hypertext literature/poetry, personal sites, art sites, journals
and newspapers online, graphics/images, hypermedia (video/sound clips on
the web, video/sound created for web applications, flash, animations. I.
Do research to find three (3) digital texts, related to the same
theme, if possible.
II. Describe the three "texts."

What is the theme of the three "texts"?

What is the form (professional, personal Web page, article in an
ezine, MP3 audio file, graphic, etc.?)

Give complete citation information, including URLs (Web addresses, and
the date you found them.

What are the major elements? Describe the form and the elements in detail
(hypertext, text only, video, color graphics, etc)
III. Compare and and contrast the digital "texts"

What elements do they have in common?

What elements differentiate them?
IV. Make some conclusions about your findings. Feel free to
include any unexpected conclusions that came to you.
Possible things to look at:

Are the forms necessarily distinct, or are there elements from each type
of "text" that can be embedded in the other "texts"?

Does any one form seem more suited to the subject than another, in your
opinion, at least in the case of these 3 samples?

Did anyone form appeal to you more than another? Why? Why not?
