ARL's vision for education and training research and application reflects the fundamental objectives to enhance the workforce's professionalism and productivity. The focus in on helping their faculty and staff to utilize Instructional Technology for research, instruction, and service. It provides a good example of how a university service such as this can be set up - it is very organized and well-designed.
The "Distributed Extensible Virtual Reality Laboratory". This project will allow people in different parts of the United Kingdom to be able to work together in the same virtual space to accomplish joint tasks (classroom, meetings, etc.), and other collaborative adventures in online learning environments.
