Hard and Soft: Practice Consonants with "Hard" and "Soft" Vowels
(note that it is the consonant, not the vowel, that really changes in these pairs!) Review the vowel pairs first, then move to individual consonants. When you have gone through them all, be sure to review the consonants featured at the bottom of the page! They are the most important and, as you can hear, show the greatest impact of "softening" or "palatization."
