Using Power DVD to capture stills from DVD movies
Insert a DVD in the DVD drive in your computer.
: The PowerDVD program will automatically open.
Click on the “Play” button.
Navigate through the movie using the standard DVD controls
Click on the “Pause” button when the frame you want to capture appears on the screen.
Click on the “Capture” icon (it looks like a small camera) to capture the still image.
You can capture as many stills as you like by continuing to navigate through the movie and repeating this procedure
An icon with a file name will appear in the capture location you have chosen in Configuration. The file name will have a .BMP extension (PowerDVD's default still capture format is bitmap).
Click on the “X” in the upper right-hand corner to close the PowerDVD program.
Eject the DVD.
Now you are ready to open the images you have captured in Photoshop or another image editor and insert them into a Word document or web page. For instructions, see the image and web development tutorials at:
