Dreamweaver Tutorial

In this tutorial you will learn to Begin a web page and Format Text, Create a variety of Links on your page, Insert an image on your page, and Use Tables to arrange elements on a web page, all using Dreamweaver.

This tutorial is based on Dreamweaver 4, which is available on campus in the Star Lab (229 JC), Web Star (311 JC), and the new multimedia classroom in Innovation Hall. These labs will be updating to Dreamweaver MX but the basic operations described here should remain the same or be very similar.*

  • Begin a web page and Format Text
  • Create a variety of Links on your web page
  • Inserting an Image on your web page
  • Use Tables to arrange elements on a web page
* In MX you will also be able to select the Dreamweaver 4 interface rather than the MX interface. Go to Edit, then select Preferences, then select Change Workspace. This should give you a dialog box with the option for MX or 4. Select 4 then OK.
